My World of Warcraft

This is World of Warcraft from my perspective.

Recent Achievements

This list has been badly maintained and does not contain all updates. Also, it seems that some of the achievements or items have been altered/removed.

An up to date list can be found here! Directly from the WoW Armory. (Also, the feed on the right lists the latest info).

The Loremaster, part II

There we have it -- the fruit of my labour, finally beeing reaped. It's been a long strange journey that's lasted over 4 years. (If only I had been more devoted to completing the old quests when I started playing...)

Along with the Loremaster title, I got a tabard. I'm not a huge fan of tabards (except when I started doing Heroics and they granted reputation for the various factions), but this one looks pretty cool. Look how happy Moriam is now. :D

...Yeah she don't look awfully happy there, but I assure you; she is! :D

The Loremaster

Ffffinally! I have been questing like a mad man in both Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor the past weeks, trying to reach 700 completed quests on each continent. The quests are far apart and the travel between each "node" is insane. Not to mention there's no use of flying mounts apart from the "taxi" gryphons - I'm forced to ride a land-mount wherever I need to go. It's like being level 60 all over again.

I finished the last quest needed in Eastern Kingdoms some week back, and finally... Finally!!..The Kalimdor quests has been dealt with. I beat the quests needed in Outland roughly two months ago, which now leaves me with two zones in Northrend to clear. ~30 quests in each zone. Shouldn't take too long...

Beating these last 60ish quests will result in the (rather obvious) Loremaster achievement, as well as the Loremaster title. *glee* :-]

The return to life

After losing myself in some of the lore (reading the War of the Ancients trilogy) and listening to the WoW soundtracks (separate post about those, eventually), I decided to activate my account again. Screw waiting for the release of Cataclysm! :3

My first task was fiddling with the UI - a few addons were outdated and/or broken and had to be replaced. I even went some lengths to add support between two of them, trying to restore order. Pretty damn impressed with myself for pulling that off. :D

WoW: Cataclysm revealed

The other day Blizzard revealed the third expansion to World of Warcraft; Cataclysm, and I can't wait to play it.

I had actually almost given up on ever playing WoW again. I haven't played in a while (not counting when I logged in for an hour to witness a trial on my friends RP-server). My subscription runs out in about three weeks and I didn't plan on renewing it. Hearing about the expansion and its new content changed my mind though - when Cataclysm hits the shelves, I'm coming back to you, Azeroth. Rest asured.

The new Alliance race Worgen looks really cool. I never really got into playing the Death Knight that was introduced in WotLK, but I'll definitely take a closer look at these feral wolf-beasts.

Taking a little break from WoW...

Just a little little one, I promise.

Edit: I may have lied, the break is turning out to last longer than I thought. Oh well.

I'm concidering joining a guild

My brother's been borrowing Moriam now and then when he gets bored of playing on his Warrior. I don't mind as ether I'm not at home to play myself, or busy doing something else.

He's done some runs in Naxxramas recently, which gave me some nice gear (neck and shoes). Apparently I'm geared enough to start raiding -- think I may have been for a while now, much thanks to my brother and him taking me along to various instances.

I don't want to join a hardcore guild though. I've been in one before (at least semi-hardcore) and it was pretty stressful. Two, maybe three times a week is a pretty decent number for me. I don't care about rushing to finish everything, as is why it took me a while to reach level 80 as well as why I still haven't gone through all zones yet. Still have that World Explorer Achievement to look forward to. ^^

I'm a hero now

After turning 80 a few days ago, Moriam has been dragged along by her brother to run instances on the Heroic Difficulty. So far, it's been quite successful.

I've added some boxes above where I'll [try to] list the achievements I get, as well as new gear or items. (Of course, this is just for bragging)..

I've been taking some random screenshots and will up some of them in short. Many of them are just of pretty numbers though (thanks to the new cool AOE-spell; Mind Sear), so they're not all that exciting. Turns out they all sucked, so I'll snap some more scenery-screens instead.

We also ran a timed run in Stratholme (Caverns of Time), where Moriam got a new flying mount - a Reins of the Bronze Drake. Sweet! I was thinking earlier that I should find a new mount; my Riding Nether Ray was getting a bit boring. So woop! :)
