My brother and two of my co-workers bought FarCry2 the other day (one got it for the PS3, sigh). and after having tried it (and also from one of my co-workers bullying me), I decided to buy it myself. As I don't have an awesome computer (well, if I could just get new RAM, a better cpu and a new gfx card...) I got it for the Xbox 360. As I don't have an Xbox 360, I had to order one of those as well. Yip yip.
The game looks really pretty. The African savanna and jungles have been heaps of fun to destroy, mostly by grenades or Molotov cocktails as I haven't acquired a flamethrower just yet. It's just a shame that the fires don't spread as much as they ought to; the ground is dry most of the time, we should have massive massive forest fires. But no, they burn for a little while, spread to maybe double the initial impact spot, and then....go out. Meh.
One of the first quests I obtained were by a man with a tape recorder. He apparently give tapes away to a bunch of other people, who then destroy them (or so I understood it), but when he saw that I was "new" he babbled on a bit before giving me another quest, finishing with the line "I meant what I said about the tapes". I walked around the room a bit, and he kept repeating that line. "I meant what I said about the tapes.........."
I got it already, lets talk about something new...
